A Masai warrior- This portrait has some areas where thick paint was laid and other parts were done in thin layers. The beads being done in impasto they are not smooth but rough because of texture created by thick paint.
A Mursi woman. This painting was done in impasto. Paint was laid in very thick layers to produce visible brush strokes. Paint appears to be coming out of the canvas.
